Jason Michael Passmore, 47, of Barton Mills, United Kingdom passed away on August 17, 2024, from cancer.
Jason was born in Rhinelander, on September 3, 1976, to Dennis and Gretchen Passmore. He grew up in Sugar Camp, and graduated from Three Lakes High School.
He joined the United States Air Force in December, 1994 as an avionics specialist and served 21 years at various air bases in the US, Europe, and Asia. Following retirement as a master sergeant, he continued working for the Air Force as a civilian.
Jason enjoyed traveling the world and was a keen aviation and astrophotographer. He gave of his time to the hedgehogs in his back yard, the Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital, the Loon Preservation Committee of NH, and caring for the bell-striking clock in the 14th century church tower of St. Mary’s Church in Barton Mills.
He was married to Karen Mace and they spent the majority of their 27 years together living in England.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, parents Dennis and Gretchen Passmore, brother Daniel Passmore (Karen Cook) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He received full military honors at West Suffolk Crematorium in Bury St. Edmunds UK.
Burial arrangements have been made at the Sugar Camp Memorial Cemetery.
