Carter Monroe Wiegand

Carter Monroe Wiegand, 32, who was born in Mountain View Arkansas, raised in Crandon and living in Rhinelander, passed away in an automobile accident in Vilas County on July 29, 2025.

Carter attended and graduated from the Crandon K-12 School in 2012 and had been employed by White Construction for more than seven years as a lineman.

Carter was a kind, sweet, generous boy who grew into a kind, sweet and generous man. He loved his family deeply and shared his time and love with them every chance he had.

Carter’s passion for fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding was something he had shared with his father Charles, brother Clayton and many friends.

Carter was preceded in death by his beloved father Charles Wiegand in September of 2024.

Carter is survived by his mother Tamara L Schroeder and stepfather Joseph Evans of Antigo. He is survived by a sister: Charlye Wiegand and her sons Devaunte and Odin. He is also survived by his older brother Clayton Wiegand and his children: Cody, Cadin, Charlie, Elsie, Blake and Watson. Surviving family members include his maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and many friends.

The loss of Carter will be deeply difficult for his family and friends. The generosity, kindness, humor and love for life that Carter shared with family and friends was inspiring and he will truly be missed by those who loved him.

Carter will be laid to rest with his beloved father at the Town of Crandon Cemetery on Aug. 8. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home in Crandon on August 8. A memorial service will follow at noon.
