Headwaters Builders Association presents $500 grant to Three Lakes student
Joe Cordova and Ashley Favorite, board members of the Headwaters Builders Association (HBA), presented a $500 grant to Douglas Koshuta, a graduating senior at Three Lakes High School. The grant recognizes Douglas’ commitment to entering the skilled trades workforce after graduation.
The grant is part of HBA’s Building Our Successful Students (BOSS) initiative, which supports students who choose to begin careers in construction or related trades immediately after high school, rather than pursuing traditional college pathways.
This year, HBA is offering up to ten $500 “School to Work” grants throughout the Northwoods as part of its commitment to strengthening the local workforce and highlighting the value of skilled trades. Eligible students must be entering the workforce directly and employed by an HBA member in a construction-related field. Funds are intended to assist with expenses related to starting a career — such as tools, workwear, transportation, or certification costs — helping students transition smoothly into the workforce.
Students interested in learning more about the BOSS School to Work grant program should contact their school’s guidance office or visit www.headwatersbuilders.com for more information.
