Four athletes from the Rhinelander Swim Club traveled to St. Petersburg, Fla. to compete at the East Coast Elite Showcase Swimming Competition April 2-5. RSC’s mission is to provide high quality competitive age swimming and adding a national level competition to this season has solidified the success of the program.

“I am so proud of these athletes and their successes this season. Rounding out our club season with a national competition and seeing our swimmers shine in sunny Florida is an accomplishment that we are all thrilled about,” RSC head coach Megan Cihla said.

RSC started the planning for this event over a year ago with two swimmers eligible to attend and by the end of the 2024-2025 club season added two more athletes with qualifying times to the roster.

“This is the biggest meet RSC has participated in so far,” Cihla said. “And our athletes performed well, dropping time in most events, at the biggest stage this season. We also saw more qualifying times from our swimmers for the Midwest Zones meet in August.”
