Anne L. Anderson

Anne L Anderson, 82, of Rhinelander, died on April 4, 2025, at the S. Catherine’s Hospital in Kenosha. She was born on April 4,1943, in Amery, the daughter of Albert and Edith (Nordahl) Bauer.

Anne was a 1961 June graduate of Rhinelander High School. She was working at Daniels Mfg. (Printpack) where she met Ed and they were married on September 24, 1966, six months after their first date. They were married for 50 years.

While raising her family in Rhinelander, Anne worked many jobs, including First National Bank and Campbell’s department store, before her long term stint as the voice of Rhinelander High School in the main office for over 20 years.

Anne enjoyed many extracurricular activities, such as performing at staff functions for RHS, chaperoning school trips with students, golfing at the Rhinelander Country Club, acting on stage with the Nicolet Players, and spending time at the Anderson family cottage. She was a loved member of the Rhinelander community and a longtime active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She left many hearts filled with joy by her beautiful laugh and genuine smile.

Anne is survived by her two daughters, Louise (Mark) Wells of Rhinelander, Mary (Trevor) Brooks of Kenosha, and two granddaughters, Emily and Jackie Wells. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed June 22, 2017, and her parents.

A memorial is being established in Anne’s name to start a fund to help graduating students pay for any remaining school fees they have, so they can walk with their graduating class. Anne loved helping all the kids she got to know at RHS.

Visitation for Anne will be held on Wednesday, April 16, from 9:30 a.m. to noon with memorial services following at noon, all at the St. Mark Lutheran Church. Reverend Richard Miller will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery.
