RHS Sports recap: Thursday, April 3

Track: RHS girls’ 1st/8, boys 2nd/8, Northland Pines Indoor Invite

The RHS girls’ track team won three events Thursday and took home the top spot in the eight-team Northland Pines Indoor Invite in Eagle River. 

Sophomore Macy Myers was part of two wins for the Hodags. She won the 800-meter dash and was on the winning 4x400 relay with Ellie Cummings, Gretchen Fiebke and Madelynn Treder. Aila Bergman added a win for the Hodags in the 55-meter hurdles. 

The Hodag boys claimed three wins as they finished second behind hosting Northland Pines. Landon Catlin took the triple jump, Greyson Gremban claimed the 800 and Cyrus Leisure took the 200. 

A handful of Hodags will travel to Stevens Point for the Point Indoor Distance Carnival on Friday while others will head to UW-Whitewater Saturday for the state indoor meet.
