Stephen Harry Lowther

Stephen Harry Lowther, age 67, of Lake Tomahawk, died on September 3, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1957, in Rhinelander, the son of Vernon and Raeburn (Oakley) Lowther.

Stephen grew up in Rhinelander and attended schools here, graduating from Rhinelander High School. He worked at Birchfield Nursery and third shift at the paper mill for many years. After the working at the Mill, he started his own landscaping business.

He loved being outdoors landscaping, ice fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, golfing, and also traveling. He enjoyed going out for Friday night fish frys and watching the Packers games. Above all else, he loved his family and spending time with them.

Stephen was a very giving person and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.

He is survived by his father Vernon Lowther (Cindy), his partner of 13 years Cathy Strominger, his daughters Laura (Jerry) Dehnke, Amy (Paul) Hannan, Tara (Andre) Motas and Jessica (Adam) Pierce; his stepdaughter Amber Strominger, his stepson Matthew Strominger, his grandchildren Summer, Connor, Camaron, Madison, Dakota, Dylan, Makayla and Shelby, his sisters Sally (Mike) Yentzer and Amanda (Ray) Lowther; and his brothers Kenneth (Deb) Lowther and Rick (Jenn) Lowther.

There was a visitation for Stephen on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon with a funeral service following at noon, all at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

 Interment followed at the Northland Memorial Park Cemetery.
