Ember Mae Oelrich was born May 18th of 2001, and blessed this world until September 3rd of 2024. Ember was kind, thoughtful, loving, and dedicated. Ember seeked to bring light and happiness to people’s lives; not just to her friends and family but to all she came across in her journey. Ember loved spending time outdoors and on the water, playing music, relaxing with her family, and playing with her two cats; Ruka and Toast. But most of all Ember loved helping people, in any way that she could.
Ember is preceded in death by her grandfather David Oelrich, great-grandfather Roy Oelrich and his wife Vada, her grandfather Stephen Koenig, her uncle Gene Quandt, her aunt Myra Bissonnette, and her partner’s father Chris Gjovik.
Ember is succeeded in life by her father Shawn Oelrich, her mother Sunny Oelrich, her grandmother Billie Koenig, her grandfather Tracy Hutchins; her siblings Dillon Meyer and his wife Stephanie, Autumn Oelrich, Christopher Oelrich, Brody Oelrich, and Misty Smith. Her partner of seven years, Joseph Gjovik. Her best friends Gabrielle O’Hara and Dan Mohr.
Ember did not and would not want people to become irreparable because of the low points in life. She believed in living it the way she wanted to live it; to the fullest. Remain strong in that fact and continue to live your life the way that Ember would have. Without regret, confident, and focused.
“I'm not afraid of death because I don't believe in it. It's just getting out of one car, and into another.” -John Lennon
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.” -John Lennon
Ember’s memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, at the Starks Town Hall; and is invite only at the discretion of the family.
