Car Cruise set for Sept. 14

Calvary Baptist Church will host its third annual Car Cruise for a Cause on Saturday, September 14, in Rhinelander.

Participants are encouraged to meet at the Blain’s Farm and Fleet parking lot in Rhinelander (please park in the area on the Hwy. 17 side) from 2-3 p.m., with the car cruise leaving the parking lot at 3 p.m. A map will be provided of the cruise route. The car cruise is totally free and just for fun.

According to Pastor Rod Ankrom, “Hot rods, muscle cars, sports cars, convertibles, rat rods, cars in progress, Corvettes, restored classics, ‘survivors,’ street rods — if you love driving your ride, we encourage you to cruise with us. There will be free ice cream for all cruisers at the end of the cruise. And because every cruise needs a cause, we will have a donation bucket set out for Rhinelander area Special Olympics.”
