Michael “Mike” Prahl

Michael “Mike” Prahl, age 69, of Rhinelander, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a long illness.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jane, daughter Amanda, and sons Michael Jr. and William. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alyce. He is also survived by five sisters Cary, Jean, Peggy, Mary Jo, and Theresa, and brother, Tom, as well as other relatives and friends.

Throughout his life, Mike enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. In his earlier years, he played steel guitar in different area bands. Mike worked several years at the Wausau Paper Company as a millwright.

Per Mike’s wishes there will be no formal services.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
