Clifford “Kip” Ward Frayer

Clifford “Kip” Ward Frayer, age 70, of Rhinelander, died on August 26, 2024, at his home. He was born on February 8, 1954, in Racine, to Ward and Pearl (Christiansen) Frayer. He grew up in Racine and attended schools there and graduated Racine Horlick High School in 1972.

Kip worked for Case I.H. for many years and retired in 2002. In 2003 he retired and moved to the Rhinelander area and has lived here since.

He loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes, dartball, and golfing. In the younger years he enjoyed coaching his sons in football and baseball. He also enjoyed bowling, watching racing — especially NASCAR, traveling, and an ice-cold High Life. He was a big Wisconsin sports fan and cheered on the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. His grandchildren were very important to him, and he loved spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife Tina of 45 years, his sons Steven Frayer and Kyle (Kristin) Frayer, his grandchildren Steven Jr., Hudson and Ella, and special brothers and sisters-in-law Steven (Julie) Dervetski and Debbie Dervetski. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judith.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Friendly Village and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice for all of the support and care they provided. They would also like to say thank you to many special friends and family for all the fun laughs and memories throughout the years.

There will be a visitation for Kip on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home.
