Why Get Your Vaccines Now?
As we head into flu season and COVID-19 remains a concern, now is the time to protect yourself and your loved ones, local health officials said in a press release. Just as every vote counts, so does every vaccine — helping reduce the spread of illness, keeping our community healthy, and supporting those most vulnerable.
Whether you're already heading to the Hodag Dome to vote or out and about on the town, this clinic offers the convenience of “voting” for your health while casting your ballot, the release states.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a flu vaccine every year to help prevent the flu. Can’t make the clinic at the Hodag Dome? Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available at the Oneida County Health Department (OCHD) in Rhinelander. Appointments are not necessary. COVID vaccines will also be available.
Walk-in hours for both flu and COVID vaccines are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.
