Running for our vets

Running in his military uniform, Ian Bogle of Rhinelander crosses the finish line of the Run for Our Heroes 5K at the Cedric A. Vig Outdoor Classroom Saturday, Oct. 26. The event, organized by the Rhinelander High School FBLA/DECA club, attracted 56 participants who ran or walked the hilly trails at CAVOC on a frosty morning. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the Northwoods Veterans Homestead. Their mission is to help homeless veterans regain self-sufficiency through supportive services including: (but not limited to) food, shelter, case management, health and wellness, and employment assistance.
