Many thanks
To the Editor:
At a recent meeting of the Rhinelander City Council, a unanimous vote approved a no sidewalk compromise on the Messer Area Street Project.
The positive impact of this decision on our neighborhood will prove vital to the preservation of character and natural beauty of our neighborhood.
Meanwhile, bringing much-needed repair to roads and updates to underground utilities and delivers substantial savings to the city. The Northwoods River News did a great job on covering this story and reporting the details of the project. Therefore, it’s not necessary to repeat the details of the project in this letter, nor is it the purpose of the letter.
The purpose of this letter is to send a big, heartfelt thank you to each council member for your support of this compromise. Thank you for taking the extra time this required of each of you. Thank you for listening and then addressing the concerns our neighborhood brought to the table regarding the Messer Street Project. Your job as a council member is not an easy one. This compromise is an excellent example of our city council at work.
