Howard Lee Miller

Howard Lee Miller, age 73, died on October 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 29, 1951, in Rhinelander, to Harold and Madelyn (Alsteen) Miller.

He grew up in Rhinelander and attended schools here. After his schooling he went into the workforce and worked many jobs including landscaping, Job Core, and Marplex Lumber.

Howard enjoyed being outside, fishing, hunting, and playing card games. He always found a way to stay active. Spending time with his family was very important to him, he loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandson, especially watching his grandson Derek race.

He is survived by his wife Terry, his daughters Jeanette, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Tanya (Steve), his sons Eric, Matt, Ward, and John (Michelle), his grandchildren Isaac, Derek (Hailey), Dakota, Hayden, Aaliyah, Shane, Scora, Winter, Matthew, and Michael, his great-grandson Corvin, his brothers Rick and Bobby (Dar), other family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Gloria and Cheryl.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Forest Home Cemetery.
