Mark Edward Kalupa, age 69, of Rhinelander, died on October 7, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 27, 1955, in Milwaukee, the son of Edward and Diane (Hall) Kalupa.
He was born and raised in Milwaukee and attended schools there and graduated from Hamilton High School. He played basketball in high school and was a state champion in 1972 and named MVP in 1973. After graduation he went to further his education at University of Wisconsin Madison for two years.
Mark worked for FedEx in Milwaukee for 30 years until his retirement. He eventually moved to the Rhinelander area where he owned and operated Our Place for 10 years and Pine Harbor for 17 years.
He was a big Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed watching the Brewers, Bucks, and especially the Badgers. Mark loved listening to music and one of his favorites was James Brown. He was very proud of his family and they meant everything to him. He will be remembered for his generosity and his kind heart.
Mark is survived by his sister Karen Kalupa, his very close friends and caregivers Michelle Jolin and Bob Baur and his many friends from Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Diane.
