Homecoming week 2024 kicked into high gear Monday, Sept. 30 as Rhinelander High School held its annual powderpuff flag football games. Both of this year’s contests turned into runaways as the sophomore defeated the freshmen, 28-0, and the seniors toppled the juniors, 22-8.

Homecoming festivities continued Wednesday, Oct. 2 with the annual Spike Volleyball matches at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium. The seniors reigned supreme, defeating the juniors two sets to one in the championship match. The seniors swept the freshmen 3-0 in preliminary play while the juniors beat the sophomores, 2-1.
