County explains Human Services Department integration

Oneida County has announced the creation of a newly integrated Human Services Department. Beginning January 1, 2025, services provided by the Department of Social Services and the Human Service Center will now be offered through the Oneida County Human Service Department.

“Oneida County leadership determined that a single county human services department would benefit the residents of Oneida County in many ways,” county officials explained in a press release. “The goal of the integration is to connect residents to a broad array of programs by reducing barriers for service delivery. The new structure ensures cross-agency collaboration designed to better meet client’s needs and a ‘No Wrong Door’ model of customer service. Current clients and patients of the Human Service Center will receive seamless and uninterrupted care with the new department.”
