Forward Bank has opened a new branch office located at 474 State Highway 70 in St. Germain.

To celebrate this exciting milestone, bank officials invited the community to join them for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 30. The new office officially opened on Wednesday, July 24, bank officials said in a press release. It features new Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) technology to conduct customer transactions both in the lobby and in drive-up, the release states. During business hours, the team of Enhanced Virtual Assistants (EVA) greet customers and work through transactions with them as if they were standing right in front of them. After hours, the machines work in a self-service mode which allows customers to use them as an ATM with the ability to make deposits and receive cash in different denominations.

“We are thrilled to open our doors and officially welcome the businesses, residents, and visitors of St Germain to our new branch,” said Jake Weinand, VP/Market President of Forward Bank. “This opening represents our dedication to providing accessible, customer-focused banking services in the Northwoods. We enter rural communities that other banks often abandon, because we see the value and know we can have a big impact.”

The St. Germain community will see Sydney Munds in the office helping customers on a daily basis. She is supported by the full Northwoods team of Jake Weinand, Larry Snedden, Brian Fritz, Scot Thompson, and Ramzey Britt. A full line of banking services for businesses and consumers is also available. Insurance and Investment services will be offered by appointment.

The ribbon-cutting event featured remarks from bank representatives and the chamber of commerce and included a picnic lunch for the community.

Forward Bank is a customer-owned, independent community bank that operates to benefit its depositors while offering no fee deposit options, lower lending fees and rates, the release states. The bank continues to be community-orientated by proudly supporting local clubs, businesses, sports, organizations, and schools.

The bank currently has offices in Athens, Colby, Dorchester, Greenwood, Marshfield, Medford, Park Falls, Phillips, Rib Lake, Stanley, Thorp, and Withee. For more information, visit www.forward.bank.
