Eric James Norton

Eric James Norton, age 58, of Merrill, died on September 24, 2024 at the Aspirus Merrill Hospital. He was born on June 24, 1966, in Rhinelander, the son of Omer and Eunice (Leavitt) Norton.

He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1984. After his schooling he worked in construction and then worked as a semi driver in the 1990s.

Eric lived a full life with never had a dull moment. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, listening to music, riding his Harley and cruising in his Corvettes. His greatest joy came from the time spent with his grandchildren. They too loved spending time with "Papa". He will be greatly missed.

Eric is survived by his daughter Alicia, his parents, his grandchildren Kianna, Cheyenne, Londyn, J.J., Zayden, Arabella and one on the way, his sister Dana Wilson, his brothers Brian and Keith Norton, his girlfriend Lynn Schnoor, other family and friends.

A visitation for Eric will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carlson Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will follow the visitation in the Northland Memorial Park Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Norton family at www.carlsonfh.com.
