Town clerk thanks team for safe, successful election

To the Editor:

With the election behind us, I would like to take a moment to extend my thanks to the dedicated team of people who ensured a safe and successful election in St. Germain; election inspectors and poll workers, Vilas County Clerk’s office, Vilas County Sheriff’s Department and the St. Germain postmaster. What an amazing team of people they make up; they are our neighbors and friends. Their dedication and hard work ensures that the St. Germain elections are accessible, transparent and secure.

There is an incredible amount of work that takes place days and weeks prior to the election. I owe them all a debt of gratitude for the essential role they played and the important work each of them does in our community for our elections. I recognize the significant commitment each of the election inspectors, poll workers, county employees, sheriff’s department and postmaster gave to the town of St. Germain by being present to help the voters and for that I say thank you.
