Oneida County Human Service Center announces free child screening event
The Birth to 3 Program will host a Child Find event on January 8, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. This event is open to children ages 0 to 3 who may benefit from early intervention services. During this time, children will receive free screenings to assess developmental milestones and determine eligibility for the Birth to 3 Program, according to a Human Services press release.
What is the Birth to 3 Program?
The Birth to 3 Program provides essential services to children and families, focusing on early intervention for developmental delays. Through the program, children receive individualized support to enhance cognitive, motor, communication, and social-emotional development. The Human Services team works closely with families to create tailored plans, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met.
Services may include:
• Developmental screenings and assessments
• Speech, physical, and occupational therapy
• Family-centered support and resources
• Assistance navigating community services
