Martin earns second-team All-WIAC football honors
UW-Whitewater senior and Rhinelander High School alum Drake Martin earned second-team honors this season as a tight end in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the conference announced Thursday.
Martin proved to be threat in both the pass game and run game for the Warhawks. He ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns from the fullback position, and caught seven passes for 57 yards and three touchdowns while playing tight end.
It marked the third time that Martin has earned All-WIAC honors. He was voted to the conference first team as a special teams player in 2022, and to the first team as a tight end in 2023.
The Warhawks went 6-3 overall on the season and finished 4-3 in the WIAC.
