Marilyn Corrine Tucker, age 79, of Rhinelander, died on November 16, 2024, at the Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff following a courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. She was born on January 17, 1945, in Rice Lake, to Lawrence and Georgia (Schoot) Prell.
Marilyn was a member of WELS her entire life and was confirmed and graduated from St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Tomah. She graduated from Tomah High School in 1963.
In 1968, Marilyn married Robert Tucker at St. Paul's, and they shared in 56 wonderful years of marriage together.
Robert and Marilyn moved to the Rhinelander area in 1983 and have remained there since. Marilyn was employed with the Oneida County Clerk of Courts Office from 1985 to 2005, and retired as the Chief Deputy Clerk of Courts.
Marilyn loved her Green Bay Packers! She loved horses, traveling with her husband "Bob", and socializing with her family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren who called her "Mimi."
Marilyn is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter Rani Watson, her son Bart (Katie) Tucker, her grandchildren, Ella, Sara, Jackson, Julia, Trixie and Frankie, her grand dog Albert, her sister Janith Heins, her brothers Ellis (Vicki) Prell, George Prell, and Lamont Prell, brother-in-law David Tucker, other family and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Michael Watson, her brother-in-law William Heins, and her sister-in-law Carol Prell.
There will be visitation for Marilyn on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service to follow beginning at noon, all at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinelander. Interment will take place at a later date at the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Tomah.
