Heartfelt thanks to local schools for honoring veterans

To the Editor:

We wish to express our most sincere heartfelt gratitude to our area schools for the fantastic programs they put on to honor the veterans for Veteran’s Day. We appreciate that the programs are on different days so the veterans can attend several or all. Each program also included a delicious meal.

We are both veterans. We feel so blessed to live in a community who values and honors all veterans and their contributions and sacrifices to our country. It is refreshing to know that our administrators, teachers and school staff support/teach our youth about what it means to be a veteran. Thank you to everyone!

We also encourage all the veterans in the area to take advantage of these wonderful programs and attend as many as possible. No two are the same. It is a refreshing, heart-warming experience to meet children and see their many projects related to Veteran’s Day.

Thank you, students, teachers and staff at all of our schools.
