PHOTO: Rhinelander hosts 8-player semifinal

Rhinelander’s Mike Webster Stadium hosted a WIAA 8-Player football state semifinal as Northwood/Solon Springs faced Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Friday, Nov. 8.

PICTURED: Northwood/Solon Springs attempts a 2-point conversion after scoring a touchdown during the second quarter of Friday’s game. The Lena co-op won the game 38-14 to advance to this Saturday’s state championship game against Owen-Withee in Wisconsin Rapids. 

Friday’s game wasn’t the last of the season at Mike Webster Stadium, as Rhinelander has been tabbed to host a WIAA Division 5 state semifinal in 11-player football as Northwestern will take on Wrightstown this Friday night.
