RBA holds girls’ hoops tourney

The Rhinelander Basketball Association held a Great Northwest Basketball League tournament at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium Saturday, Nov. 2. The Hodag eighth-grade girls’ team won all three of its games to place first in its six-team bracket, defeating Lakeland (48-10), Marathon (34-29) and Wittenberg-Birnamwood (40-28). The Hodag seventh-grade girls were second in their six-team bracket. The squad beat Wisconsin Rapids Assumption (44-16) and Three Lakes/Phelps (32-6), but lost to Mosinee (28-7).
