Nancy Carol Jorata

Nancy Carol Jorata, 86, of Kenosha, formerly of Rhinelander, passed away peacefully in her home on September 23, 2024.

Nancy was born on December 29, 1937, in Chicago, to Christ and Adeline (Gloe) Lambrecht. The family moved to Tomahawk, where Nancy graduated from high school in 1955. She married Robert John Jorata Sr. on February 4, 1956, in Rhinelander, where they raised seven children. Nancy was a caring and nurturing person who spent many years working as a nursing assistant. In her free time, she would go fishing off the dock at her home, read mystery murder novels and crochet. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing a robust game of polish poker with them. Nancy had a soft spot for her dogs and they were all spoiled.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Julie) Jorata Jr., Donna Wells, Judy Jorata, Richard (Irene) Jorata, Roger (Ramona) Jorata, and Ronald (Jessica) Jorata; son-in-law Micheal Wheeler; also included are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cheryl Wheeler, brother Clarence, and son-in-law James Stewart-Wells.
