Angeline Rita Hoppe

Angeline Rita Hoppe, age 93, of Rhinelander, died on May 8, 2024, at Rennes Health and Rehab in Rhinelander. She was born on December 19, 1930, in Sayner, the daughter of George and Laura (Ahlborn) Brooker Sr. She attended schools in Eagle River, graduating from Eagle River High School in 1948.

She married Raymond Hoppe on May 5, 1951, and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2003. They were blessed with over 52 years of marriage and their three sons.

Angeline and Raymond lived in Shawano for most of their adult lives. She was fortunate enough to be able to stay home and raise her three boys. She was also able to have careers as an Avon lady, sales for American Greeting Cards, working as a Bestline Distributor, and working as a nutritionist for the Menominee Indian Reservation. She moved to Rhinelander in 2005 and has lived here since.

Angeline is survived by her sons Donald (Pat) Hoppe, David (Dawn) Hoppe and Douglas (Kathy) Hoppe, her grandchildren Heather (Ali), Bradley (Christine), Taylor (Joe), and Kyle, her great-grandchildren Oliver, Zoe, Amelia, Christian and Aiden, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Almeda, Rosetta, Laura, and Lillian, and her brothers Burton, George Jr., Robert, and Richard.
