SDR to offer youth tennis lessons in July
During the month of July, the School District of Rhinelander Community Education Program will offer tennis lessons for youth entering grades 3-5.
There will be two separate offerings: July 8-17 and July 22-31. Both groups will meet Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the RHS tennis courts, located on the west side of Rhinelander High School
RHS head boys’ and girls’ tennis coach Matt Nichols will be the lead instructor for the program. Participants will learn the fundamental strokes of tennis, including forehand and backhand groundstrokes, volleys and serves.
Tennis balls will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tennis racquet, though racquets will be provided to those who do not have one. Every participant will receive a T-shirt.
The cost is $40 per person, which includes instruction and T-shirt.
Pre-registration is required by Friday, July 5. Space is limited.
