Gina Marie Lambele

Gina Marie Lambele, 60, of Elk Mound, and previously of Madison, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Mayo Health Center - Eau Claire, after a valiant 2-year battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Gina was born on April 22, 1964, in Rhinelander, to Janice (Scheidegger) and William Lambele.

Gina was a 1982 graduate of Rhinelander High School and a graduate of Madison Area Technical College. She worked in the banking industry until her retirement earlier this year.

Gina’s family was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time in Rhinelander with her mother, aunts, uncles, and many cousins, or in Elk Mound with her brother’s family.  

With a smile as bright as the sun, she was a huge lover of the sun all her life. Her favorite place was the Hawaiian Islands. Gina was a landscape artist, which she started doing with her father many years ago. Serene landscapes were her passion, and her use of color was inspired by Hawaiian sunsets.

Gina is survived by her mother Janice Lambele, brother Timothy (Stacie) Lambele and nephews Tim Lambele, Jr. and Ben Lambele. Gina is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Lambele.

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 29, 2024, at the Cabaret Cove in Rhinelander, beginning at noon. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. followed by a luncheon.
