YMCA announces Sunday Funday June 9

The YMCA of the Northwood is inviting the public to a day of excitement, music, and family-friendly activities!

Sunday Funday will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9.

Activities will include:

• Chase the Hodag Run: Kids 12 and under, lace up your sneakers and join us for a thrilling Chase the Hodag Fun Run sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Rhinelander. Free T-shirt to the first 100 kids.

• Live music and dancing: Get ready to groove to the beats of four fantastic bands. From Blues to Rock to Pop, there’s something for everyone. Bands performing: Shannon Hauser & Friends 12-2 p.m., Relentless 2-4 p.m., Trainwreck Jukebox 4-6 p.m., and Santy & Sons 6-8 p.m.

• Bounce house: Kids can bounce, jump, and play in our inflatable bounce house.

• Carnival games: Test your skills and win prizes by playing fun-filled carnival games.

• 50/50 Raffles: Feeling lucky? Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win big!

• Volleyball: Grab your friends and compete in a friendly volleyball match.

• Bag toss: Show off your aim in the bag toss tournament.

• Food and drinks: Feel free to bring your own food and drinks, as well as chairs and blankets to make yourself comfortable.

• Donations welcome: Help support  YMCA programs by making a donation. Every contribution counts, organizers noted in a press release.

• Open to all: Whether you’re a YMCA member or not, everyone is welcome to join the fun.

• Family-oriented and kid-friendly: Bring the whole family for a day of bonding and laughter.

• Summer Camp Open House: 12-4 p.m. to meet counselors, tour camp.
