Members of the public capture the moment as Kerry Bloedorn, left, director of the Pioneer Park Historical Complex, and Lauren Sackett, CEO of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, unveil the newly restored Hodag Historical Marker Friday evening, May 17, 2024 at Hodag Park. A fundraising campaign was launched last year after it became clear that the original marker, placed in the park back in 1973, had started to deteriorate. The Hodag-related festivities continued Saturday with the annual Hodag Heritage Festival at Pioneer Park.
