Joseph “Joe” Donald Graf

Joseph “Joe” Donald Graf, age 91, of Rhinelander, went home peacefully to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2024. He was born along with his twin sister Joan, on November 4, 1932, in Milwaukee, to John and Elizabeth (Knazinski) Graf.

Joe was a Korean War Army veteran, and served as an Infantry Corporal from March 1952 to February 1954.

He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman. He loved fishing, ice fishing, deer hunting and moose hunting in Canada.

Joe was a beautiful soul with a big heart, very kind and generous. He loved life. He had a wonderful smile, was witty, and enjoyed meeting people, making many friends along the way. He had many caring and loving friends/neighbors who watched over him. He was a blessed man.

Joe is survived by his loving daughter Kathie (Graf) Wyatt, his grandsons Tyler DeNomie and Jordan (Danelle) DeNomie, his great-grandson Grayson DeNomie, his oldest brother William Graf, his sister Catherine Bartlett, along with many caring and loved extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father John Graf, his mother Elizabeth Knazinski, his twin sister Joan Tadysak, his brother Herman Graf, as well as his beloved girlfriend of many years, Rosie.

Joe/Daddy/Grandpa, you will truly be missed, leaving us with many fond memories.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the American Stroke Association.

Services for Joe will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the Carlson Funeral Home with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw. You may leave your private condolences for the Graf family at www.carlsonfh.com.
