John T. Winter

John T. Winter, age 90, of Harshaw,  died on May 14, 2024, at the Country Terrace, with his loving family at his side.

He was born on January 10, 1934, in Jefferson, the son of Herman and Meta (Tonne) Winter. He moved with his family to the Town of Cassian as a child and attended elementary school there and then attended Rhinelander High School.

John worked for the Town of Cassian on the road crew for over 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his kids and grandkids.

John is survived by his daughter Autumn (Sean) Soderlund, his three sons Michael (Wendy) Winter, Timothy (Therese) Winter and Joseph (Bette) Winter, his 16 grandchildren and his 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Evelyn and his brother Vernon.

Visitation for John will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon with funeral services following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. The Reverend Mark Gass will be officiating.
