Leadership Oneida County graduates 13th class

“The goal of Leadership Oneida County is to develop a sense of commitment to being a leader in our community,” steering committee member Rachel Boehlen said in a press release announcing the newest graduating class. “Participants learn that leadership takes many forms, and that in Oneida County there are opportunities in many areas of interest — everybody says they learned at least one thing they didn’t know Oneida County had to offer.”

In addition to the graduating class, the Leadership Oneida County program announced two award winners.
The Outstanding Alumni award recognizes Leadership Oneida County alumni who are continuing to develop their leadership presence in the county and who have used their experiences in the program to further their service to the county, the release states.
The 2024 Outstanding Alumni Award went to 2019 LOC Graduate Krystal Fochs.
The Mel Davidson Leadership Award recognizes any person in Oneida County that shows outstanding leadership and service within the county — nominees do not necessarily have to have previous history with the Leadership Oneida County program.
The 2024 Mel Davidson Leadership Award was presented to 2016 LOC graduate Lauren Sackett, who now serves as CEO of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce.
