YMCA announces circus and crane excursion to Baraboo

The YMCA of the Northwoods is offering a coach bus trip to Baraboo to tour the Circus World Museum and the International Crane Foundation on Thursday, June 13. The Circus World Museum is a museum complex devoted to circus-related history that features artifacts and exhibits while hosting daily live circus performances throughout the summer. Attendees will see a live performance, tour the many exhibits and have lunch at the Cookhouse Grill before departing for the International Crane Foundation, according to a press release announcing the trip.

The International Crane Foundation hosts a captive flock of over 100 cranes, including the only complete collection of all 15 species in the world. The site features live crane exhibits, a research library, welcome center, gift shop and four miles of nature trails. Attendees will enjoy a guided tour with one of the docents to learn all about these amazing birds.

The bus will depart the YMCA of the Northwoods at 7 a.m. and will return at approximately 8 p.m. on June 13. The cost of the trip is $130 per person. The price includes Lamers coach bus travel expenses, admission to Circus World Museum and its shows, a guided tour of International Crane Foundation, and snacks. Lunch is not included.

Space is limited.

This trip is open to anyone in the community. Register by May 31 by calling the YMCA of the Northwoods at 715-362-9622.
