Rhinelander chamber launches new volunteer webpage

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) has a new webpage for area volunteer opportunities.

“The centralized community volunteer page on the RACC website highlights volunteer needs of nonprofit organizations in Rhinelander and the surrounding area,” chamber officials said in a press release.” The webpage project was developed by a group of individuals as part of the Leadership Oneida County program, with the intention of connecting residents with area nonprofit organizations.”

“Strong communities are built through the collective efforts of their citizens. The Chamber is excited to offer nonprofit organizations an additional tool to promote volunteer opportunities that enhance the Rhinelander area through volunteer service,” noted Angela Badeau, director of Marketing & Communications at the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce.

The webpage includes a form for nonprofit organizations to submit their volunteer needs, which are then displayed on a calendar and downloadable document for the public to view.

For each volunteer opportunity submitted by an organization, the public is able to see volunteering dates and times, details, any requirements, contact information and website links provided by the organization regarding the volunteer opportunity. Nonprofits do not need to members of RACC to participate.
