Bonnie Lee Grunewald

Bonnie Lee Grunewald passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Rhinelander. She was born in New Berlin on June 15, 1953 to Edward and Leona Osowicz. Bonnie lived most of her remaining life in Rhinelander, where she worked for the School District of Rhinelander as a food service worker, retail establishments, and as a warehouse clerk for Doctors Fosters & Smith up until her retirement.

Bonnie loved the Northwoods where she resided since 1996. Her favorite things to do were spend time with her family, planting flowers and gardening, watching nature (especially hummingbirds and dragonflies), reading, cooking, loving her many dogs, talking on the phone to her family and friends, and researching and embracing her Polish ancestry. 

She will be sadly missed by her son Eric Grunewald, daughter Jessalynn Rietz (Grunewald), her dear sister Patti Tennyck (Osowicz), her adored grandchildren Connor (Eric), Parker (Eric), Kacen (Jessalynn), Leo (Jessalynn), and Sophia (Jessalynn), and many other nephews, cousins, extended family members, and of course her friends. 

Bonnie's caring for others did not go unnoticed. She always put others ahead of herself and was always the most caring and loving person to her family and friends. Her laugh was contagious and her smile would brighten up an entire room. She will be dearly missed and will forever have a place in our hearts.
