RHS Sports recap: Saturday, March 23

Softball: Rhinelander 0-3 Danny Mac Invite

The Rhinelander High School softball team dropped all three games in the Danny Mac Invite at the Hodag Dome, falling 15-0 to Clintonville and 17-3 to Athens on Friday and 23-6 to Thorp on Sunday.

The Hodags managed just four hits against Clintonville, with Lucy Lindner and Kadyn Taylor each collecting doubles. Lindner went 2-for-2 with an RBI against Athens and Nora Rutkowski went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs against Thorp.

Laney Haenel took the loss agains Clintonville and Thorp while Kelsey Winter was the pitcher of record against Athens. Nevaeh Anderson also saw time in the circle for the Hodags.

Rhinelander (0-3, 0-0 Great Northern) is scheduled to travel to Medford on Tuesday.
