Music in our schools month

The School District of Rhinelander music department held its Music In our Schools Month (MIOSM) concerts Tuesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 7 at the John and Dori Brown Performing Arts Center at Rhinelander High School. Tuesday’s performance featured numbers from the James Williams Middle School band, the RHS band and the Rhinelander Area Community Band. The JWMS and RHS choirs performed during Thursday’s concert. “Music teachers celebrate MIOSM in many ways by offering special performances, lessons, sing-alongs and activities to bring their music programs to the attention of administrators, parents, colleagues, and communities to display the positive benefits that school music brings to students of all ages,” the RHS activities department stated in a Facebook post promoting the events.
