Georgette A. Huebner

Our mother Georgette A. Huebner, age 84, died peacefully on March 4, 2024, at the Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital surrounded by family and looked forward to seeing our dad, whom she missed dearly, in Heaven.

She was born on January 8, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of George and Wilna (Stough) Hurley and eventually moved to Rhinelander where she met our dad, fell in love and married him. They raised us five children and gave us a wonderful life. We spent summers camping with friends at Clear Lake where we looked forward to treasure hunts and singing around the campfire.

Mom enjoyed hosting friends and family gatherings, gardening and her biggest passion was reading so her job as the librarian at Central School and eventually the Junior High was perfect! She was very involved in her local church, enjoyed lunches with her church friends and caring for her three beloved cats Jack, Sissy and Star.

She is survived by her daughters Kim (David) Chappel and Denise (Robert) Brandenburg, her sons Richard Huebner, John (Kim) Huebner and Chad Huebner, her seven grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis on August 25, 2021, her parents and her brother, James Hurley.

We would like to thank Rennes Nursing Home and the staff at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital for the excellent care they gave our Mom.
