Education: Graduated from RHS in the Spring of 2014 and began his college career that fall at UW-Stout. Graduated from UW-Stout in the spring of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction [Management] and a Minor in Business Administration.
Industry Experience: Worked residential construction in Rhinelander on-and-off throughout high school and college until the summer of 2017 when he took an internship with AZCO coordinating mechanical piping in a heavy industrial setting. He worked for AZCO throughout the summer in a town called Beulah, North Dakota and signed on with the company before returning to school to finish his senior year of college. He started back up full-time with AZCO in the spring of 2018 and hit jobsites in North Dakota, Hawaii, Ohio and Tennessee before coming back to Appleton to take on various roles.
Current Company: Fabich currently works at AZCO as a section manager where he is responsible for project dispatching, supervisory development, and operations recruiting for Self-Perform Construction Coordinators. He oversees the improvement initiatives and training opportunities for AZCO Field Operations and provides support and technical assistance for preconstruction planning, work package development, and project execution, by collaborating with field construction supervision and Field Operation Managers. Classes that helped at RHS: Light Construction Methods and Residential Construction. These courses gave me great insight into the basics of construction terminology and helped instill the importance of schedule, communication, and a strong work ethic. These attributes remain constant no matter the construction industry you go into, thus allowing me to make the jump from residential to heavy industrial.
Anything else: Don’t be afraid of roles requiring travel. There are a lot of great opportunities out there for individuals willing to relocate. My career continues to take me to new states and locations, building relationships and connections that will last a lifetime.
