Katherine E. Pelletier

Katherine E. Pelletier, age 87, of Rhinelander, died on June 24, 2024 at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk. She was born on June 14, 1937, in Rhinelander, the daughter of Everett and Dora (Schmidt) Calkins.

She was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander, graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1955. After her schooling she was employed by the Hodag Buyers Guide and also the Rhinelander Daily News. 

Over the years she also assisted her husband and her family in the operation of Northland Printing.

Kathy married Raymond Pelletier on August 25,1956, in Rhinelander, and they were blessed with over 63 years of marriage. The two of them enjoyed many trips to the UP, the shores of Lake Superior and the many waterfalls. She enjoyed baking, gardening, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, attending the Hodag Country Festival each year and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her son Mark Pelletier, her grandchildren Kyle Pelletier, Katie Pelletier and Kiley Pelletier, her great-granddaughter Casey and her sister Carolyn (Michael) Maloney. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond on September 8, 2019 and her son Brian on August 22, 2016.

Visitation for Kathy will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 9 to 11 a.m., with memorial services following at 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home.
