Safer intersection

The City of Rhinelander’s Street Department recently finished work on the intersection of Stevens and Harvey streets. Pedestrians can now cross with the aid of crossing flags, flashing lights, and multiple signs alerting motorists to the crossing, the Rhinelander Police Department reported in a Facebook post. Parents are encouraged to train their children to utilize this crossing or at Timber Drive (traffic signal controlled intersection with pedestrian assisted signs), if they have children walking from the west side of Stevens Street to attend Central School.
