VA to host veteran town hall in Rhinelander
The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center is inviting veterans, their families, Veteran Service Organizations and community health care partners to veteran town halls on June 12-14 to learn about the PACT Act, facility updates and other benefits.
Town hall meetings are an opportunity for veterans to engage with OGJVAMC leadership, ask questions, and learn about changes to their benefits and healthcare, according to a VA press release.
Veterans, their families, and the public are invited to attend the events:
• Rhinelander 2 p.m. June 12 — VFW Post 3143, 120 South Park St.
• Lac Du Flambeau, 5 p.m. June 12 — Veteran’s Building, 409 Little Pines Rd.
• Tomahawk, 10 a.m. June 13 — City Hall, 23 N. 2nd St.
• Woodruff, 2 p.m. June 13 — City Office, 1418 1st Ave.
Medical center leaders and area Veterans Service Organizations will be on hand for a presentation and to answer questions about VA services and benefits.
“These town halls are not limited to those who use our services. We welcome all veterans and their families who may not be enrolled in VA health care to come and ask about services we provide,” said Medical Center Director John P. Shealey. Questions may be directed to VA Public Affairs Office at 906-774-3300, ext. 32001 or 32018.
