Bruce Lloyd Fish


Bruce Lloyd Fish, age 72, of Rhinelander, died on July 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 31, 1951, in Rhinelander, the son of Lloyd and Bonnie (Lavender) Fish.

Bruce lived his entire life in Rhinelander. He attended schools here and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1970. While in school he apprenticed at Godding Builders when he was 15 years old, after high school he took a few carpentry classes at Nicolet College. Bruce enjoyed his work and built their own house in town.

He loved nature and being outdoors, he could stay outside all day long if he was able to. You could find him gardening, hunting, fishing, or shooting. He also loved watching movies, dogs, and his cat, Rowdy. In his spare time, he played horseshoes for Bill and Mary’s. The only things that were more enjoyable to him than those were his grandchildren, children and family.

Bruce is survived by his wife Terri, his daughters Karen Norling and Julie (Spencer) Thiel, his grandchildren Mikenzie, Camryn, Kayla, and Cass, his three great-grandchildren, his sister Donna (Chris) Nehls, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Ipsen, his parents, his sister Marlene, and his brother, Larry.

There will be a gathering for Bruce at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024 at the Dells of Eau Claire  235890 County Road Y Aniwa, WI 54408. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass.
