RCF funds purchase of public computers for library
Thanks to the generosity of the Rhinelander Community Foundation, the Rhinelander District Library (RDL) has purchased five new computers for use by the public, library officials announced in a press release.
“These computers replace those purchased in 2016,” the release states. “They could not have arrived sooner, as one computer has stopped working entirely and several were unpredictable due to age. While all library computers had been upgraded to Windows 11 (Windows 10 will no longer be supported as of October 2025), these were not handling it well. This purchase maintains Rhinelander District Library computers for public access and use. This will allow RDL to maintain a regular schedule of computer upgrades.”
The Rhinelander District Library thanks the Rhinelander Community Foundation for the grant allowing the purchase of vital library equipment in support of our community, the release states.
