Lois R. Lukarich, age 93, of Rhinelander, died on July 5, 2024 in Rhinelander. She was born on August 11, 1930, in Rhinelander, the daughter of Walter and Elin (Nordquist) Rolain. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1948 and then married Robert “Al” Lukarich on July 8, 1950.
Early on Lois worked as a telephone operator, she waitressed at a number of places and then worked in Trig’s bakery. She enjoyed watching her husband and boys play softball and she was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. She loved to work on puzzles, cross country ski and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Lois is survived by her daughters Jackie Miller and Connie (Frank Johnson) Kuczmarski, her sons David (Linda) Lukarich and Daniel (Suzanne) Lukarich, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, her daughter-in-law Toni Lukarich, her sisters Betty Callahan, Barbara Stevens, Karen Franke and Nancy (Edwin) Kuehn, her brothers Donald Rolain and Richard (Marilyn) Rolain, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Al on May 10, 1991, her son Larry and her brothers Robert, Raymond, Darrell and Walter “Pete” Rolain.
Lois’ family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Rennes Health and Rehab for the exceptional care and friendship they gave to our Mom.
Visitation for Lois will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 9 to 11 a.m., with memorial services following at 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Reverend John Kuziej will be officiating.
