Barbara Helen Laddusire

Barbara Helen Laddusire, age 70, of Rhinelander, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on July 8, 2024. She was born on April 7, 1954, in Rhinelander, to Kenneth and Helen Laddusire. Barb attended high school in Rhinelander and graduated with the Rhinelander High School Class of 1972.

After high school, Barb pursued a career in the healthcare system in Rhinelander. She spent 15 years in housekeeping at St. Mary’s Hospital and later worked as a CNA in local assisted living facilities, where she found her true passion in caring for others. To know Barb was to appreciate her generosity, loving nature, zest for life, pride in her work, and her knack for bringing joy to any gathering.

Barb cherished family gatherings, leisure time by the lake, pontoon boat rides, visits to her family in Alaska, and decorating her home/yard for every holiday. She also loved traveling and exploring new places.

Barb is survived by her daughter Jessica Skonberg (Kodiak, Alaska), her grandchildren— Anastasia Moulton (Juneau, Alaska) and Aidan Skonberg (Kodiak, Alaska), her brothers Richard Laddusire and Bruce Laddusire (both of Rhinelander), her sister Janet Herrick (Rhinelander), many nieces and nephews, and her longtime companion Gary Fryar (Rhinelander). She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Helen Laddusire, her sister Lynann Ferch, and her sister-in-law, Nancy Laddusire.

Visitation for Barb will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service following at noon, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Reverend John Kuziej will be officiating.
